Have you linked your PAN card with Aadhaar? Deadline ends today
Have you linked your base to a permanent account number (PAN) card? If not, please do it immediately because the deadline for linking biometric ID will end today, i.e. 31 March
According to the Income Tax Department, taxpayers need to link their PAN with a 12-digit biometric ID to file an Income Tax Return (ITR) for the assessment year 2019-20.
If you fail to do so, then there is a chance that your PAN will be deactivated. However, experts are divided on this issue. So far, there is no clarity about what will happen to the taxpayer's PAN card, or if it fails to link it with the base before the deadline.

Expanding for the fifth time, in July last year, the Income Tax Department increased the time limit for linking people with their PAN. Earlier this deadline was June 30, 2018, which was later modified to March 31, 2019.
The IT Department posted a reminder tweet about the deadline of March 20.
