Bajaj Auto may launch NS200 FI by Diwali
To maintain the upcoming emission norms in India, Bajaj Auto is working on the fuel injection system for NS200, which will help with emissions and performance levels. Until now, the naked bike used a carburetor.
The sale of fuel injected variants has already been done internationally, but Auto Publication Max reports that the bike can be launched domestically by Diwali. Apart from this, Bajaj Auto can update RS200's powerplant to compliant BS-VI and launch it around the same time.
As we mentioned earlier, instead of carburetor, fuel injection will help with performance data. The international fantasy 199 cc engine produces 24.5 HP of maximum power at 9,750 rpm and 18.6 nm peak torque at 8,000 rpm. On the other hand carburated bike produces 23.5 hp and 18.3 nm, respectively.
On most other fronts the bike is largely unchanged. However, it will be a cosmetic improvement. Recent images of the International Fantasy NS200 show a different paint scheme with Matt Black Finish for the tank cowl, with Gloss Black for the under seat panel. To mark the fuel injection bike, tank cowl also receives big FI begum in neon yellow, blue or red. Rims also get matching pinstrip.
When Fuel Injected NS200 registers its presence, expect a slight collision with current Rs 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) price tag.
