Bloodstained’s Switch port looks pretty bad, Nintendo Switch version vs PS4

Bloodstained’s Switch port looks pretty bad, Nintendo Switch version vs PS4

Symphony of the Night Guru, Kogenigerasi promised a new metrodewania. The game was released last week for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One last week, so that equally positive praise could be done. Unfortunately it looks like the Nintendo Switch Port, released today, it is not so lucky.

The Nintendo Switch version was always going to noticeable decline from other platforms, given that the hardware is not nearly as powerful. But how much will it downgrade? The video given above tells the story, showing the shaded 30 frames-per-second frame rate, which is not quite stable, even in relatively tame settings. Estimated drop in visual quality is not enough to ensure that the performance remains intact.

Generally, the generous Nintendo switches are initially troubling initial reports on subtraction. A player, who claims to have spent six hours in the switch version of the game, says that problems are worse than those shown above. "I'm reaching those parts of the game that can barely run up to 15FPS, stabilize one 30FPS alone," writes Trav_Hogan on Reddit. The player advises to wait for better adaptation in the future patch or to choose a different platform altogether.

This is not the first time that concerns about the Nintendo Switch version of Blendstead have been raised. Back in April, the development team addressed concerns about the construction of the switch version running in Pax East. At that time, the team said that the switch version was overheating on the show floor, causing performance issues and input lag. It seems that the final version is still suffering from similar issues.

Unless you are ready to keep up with performance issues or you are ready to wait for a patch that can never come, it seems that you want to look beyond the switch for your blood needs . Thankfully, there is no shortage of spectacular metroididia in the Nintendo console, from Hollow Knight to Guacamly to Gato Roboto.
