Spotify India's MD Amarjit Singh Batra has said, "In India a few months ago we introduced Spotify Lite Beta so that the interest of the users could be estimated, which is the best. So now we are launching officially Spotify Lite. Lite is a small, fast, and simplified version that works just like the main Spotify app. You will still be able to search and play your favorite music and artists in it, will be able to sell and share with others. There are some extra features which are better for older smartphones and operating systems.
The Spotify Lite app is 10MB, so it will be easily installed on the smartphone. This app has a feature of Data Limit which will give you notifications on data usage. Along with that, the company claims that if there is less storage then you will not have trouble. For this, it has been given the option to clear it in single tap for the Cache control in Spotify Lite.
Spotify Lite has been launched by the company in the Total 36 countries. It can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
Spotify's Senior Product Manager, Kalle Persson said, "Spotify Lite has been designed on the basis of feedback from users around the world so that people get the best music experience in the world, especially at places where bandwidth and phone storage it occurs.
Spotify Lite can download free or premium users. Both apps can be downloaded at once. According to the company, it will work in Android smartphones with version 4.3 or above.
