Chandrayaan 2 mission is planned to be sent by GSLV MK-III launch vehicle from Satish Dhawan Space Center on Sriharikota Island; According to ISRO, when Chandrayaan 2 is fully ready for launch, then its weight will be 3,250 kg. Which will include the Orbiter, Lander (Vikram) and Rover (Pragyan). According to the information given by ISRO, the orbiter will revolve the moon with payload. Scientific payloads on the orbiter, lander and rover are expected to study minerals and elements on the surface of the moon.


Total cost of Chandrayaan 2 mission -
According to ISRO, less than Rs 1,000 crore has been spent in Chandrayaan 2 mission. Of which, the cost associated with the satellite in Chandrayaan-2 is Rs 603 crore. And the cost of GSLV MK-III launch vehicle is 375 crores rupees.
