Queensland completed a comfortable 43-run victory over South Australia in Gabba, Brisbane, in a low scoring affair. South Africa's victory over South Africa in the 7th wicket was likely on Jake Lehmann's batting, but South Africa scored a total of just one run overnight.

Following a solid batting performance first-innings, an equally disciplined bowling performance was performed as Western Australia kept complete control over Tasmania in their Sheffield Shield encounter in the Blondstone Arena, Hobart.
