DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A single ticket sold in Wisconsin matched all six numbers in the powerball drawing on Wednesday night, to win the third largest jackpot in the US lottery history. Due to strong ticket sales, Jackpot climbed an estimated $ 768.4 million at the time of drawing with a cash option of $ 47.4 million.

Powerball said that the winning number is 16, 20, 37, 44, 62 and the powerball number is 12.

$ 768.4 million, the world's third largest share of the $ 1.586 billion powerball jackpot shared by the winners in California, Florida and Tennessee in January 2016, and last October won a mega million dollar jackpot of $ 1.537 billion in South Carolina.

“It’s going to be a very green spring for our first Powerball jackpot winner of 2019,” David Barden, Powerball Product Group chairman and New Mexico Lottery CEO, said in a statement. “A jackpot make many dreams of this size   come true - not just for the winner, but for all Lottery beneficiaries and the lucky state of Wisconsin.”

Although  prize grew steadily since the previous  winner jackpot on Dec. 26, the odds of matching the five white balls and single Powerball remained one in 292.2 million.

"This is a very green spring for our first Powerball jackpot winner of 2019," said David Barden, chairman of Powerbol Product Group and CEO of New Mexico Lottery. "A treasure of this size can make many dreams come true - not only for the winner, but also for the lottery beneficiaries of all the lottery beneficiaries and Wisconsin."

Although the awards rose sharply since the previous Jackpot winner on December 26, the probability of matching five white balls and single powerballs was one in 292.2 million.

The estimated figure of $ 768.4 million refers to the annuity option, which is paid in 29 years. Almost all Grand Prize winners opt for a cash prize, which will be an estimated $ 477 million for Wednesday drawing. Both award options are before taxes.

Seven tickets matched all five white balls, but missed the match with the Red Powerball to win the $ 1 million prize in Wednesday's drawing. Those tickets were sold in Arizona, two of California, Indiana, Missouri, New Jersey and New York. Two other tickets sold in Kansas and Minnesota matched all five white balls and doubled the award to $ 2 million, because the tickets included the Power Play option for an additional $ 1.

Powerball is played in 44 states, as well as Washington, D.C., U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico
