Cardi B indicted in strip club case
The source said that the exact allegations will remain in the seal till the hearing on June 25 in the Queens Criminal Court.
Cardi was arrested in October for allegedly participating in an attack on two strikers in Flushing Strip Club. Two people were injured in bottles and chairs thrown inside the club.
This was reported in August last year, when Cardi admitted that one of the female bartendors was related to her husband, Offset.
They were charged with two wrong allegations of careless threats and counting of a crime of assault. But in April, the rapper, whose real name is Belances Marlensis Almankar, rejected a petition, which would have given a conditional rebate in return for blaming him for the same misdeed.
Prosecutors again investigated and took the matter to a grand jury.
Cardi's attorney said that he is not aware of any evidence that he has harmed anyone.
CNN has approached the representatives of Cardi B to comment on the allegation.
