Xiaomi's Smart Living 2020 event started on stage with the
company's India head Manu Kumar Jain. He talked about the company's various milestones so far, including 100 million smartphone sales in five years. After this Jain told how Xiaomi is so much more than just a smartphone company. According to Jain, Xiaomi owns more than 200 ecosystem companies in which it holds a significant stake. Xiaomi is bringing some of these smart home devices to India today.
In the midst of today's launch, Jain debuted with Mi TV. As expected, the company is launching four new Smart TV models in the country today, including its flagship Mi TV 4X 65-inch. Jain says that Xiaomi makes 80 percent of the Mi TV sold in India in the country. The company has sold over 3 million Mi TVs so far. Jain then invited Sudeep Sahu of XIaomi to expand the new Xiaomi Smart TV.
According to Sahu, the Mi TV 4X offers 40 percent more viewing area than a 65-inch, 55-inch TV. It sports a metallic design with ultra-slim bezels. The TV uses the company's Vivid color engine and packs an ultra-bright display. The Mi TV 4X is the brightest display by Xiaomi in any of the 65-inch smart TVs. It comes with 4K UHD resolution and supports HDR10. The Mi TV 4 x 65-inch also supports Dolby Audio and DTS HD.
Sahu then announced that the company was adding more content partners to Patchwall, including Netflix. He also talked about Patchwall 2.0, the new version of the company's Smart TV user interface. Patchwall 2.0 uses live news without any registration or log-in. Xiaomi Mi TV 4X runs on 65-inch Android 9.0 TV. In other specifications, you will find a quad-core Cortex A55 processor, 20 W speakers and Bluetooth 5.0.
Additionally, the company launched the new Mi TV 4X 43-inch and Mi TV 4X 50-inch. Both TVs include 4K UHD screens and packaged 20W speakers. The company has also introduced a new Mi TV 4A 40-inch which packs a full-HD display and a 20W speaker.
According to Sahu, the new Mi TV models will come with Android Data's new data saver feature. This TV will be the first such feature in the world. The feature will allow users to view more content with a limited amount of data. There is a data counter and support for local files for TV feature as well as files through the Go app
Additionally, a new black version of Xiaomi Mi Soundbar is coming to India. It will cost Rs. 4,999.
In terms of price, the Mi TV 4X 65-inch is priced at Rs. 54,999. The Mi TV 4X 50-inch is priced at Rs. 29,999, while the 43-inch Mi TV 4X model Rs. 24,999. Finally, the Mi TV 4A 40-inch is priced at Rs. 17,999. All four new Mi TV models will go on sale through Flipkart and Mi.com at midnight of 29 September.
Then Xiaomi's Raghu Reddy came on stage to unveil the new Mi Smart Water Purifier. According to Reddy, the Mi Smart Water Purifier is designed for India. It produces a minimalist design with just two buttons and packs a 7-liter water tank.
According to Reddy, the Mi Smart Water Purifier comes with three different purifying cartridges and offers a five-tier purification. The first cartridge consists of polypropylene cotton and activated carbon. The second cartridge packs RO technology, and the third cartridge later contains activated carbon. The water tank also has a UV lamp.
The Mi Smart Water Purifier also provides real-time monitoring and for the same, the company has incorporated two TDS sensors. The level of TDS can be seen on the Mi Home app. The app will also allow consumers to purchase additional water filters. According to Xiaomi, the Mi Smart Water Purifier does not require an expert to replace the filter and anyone can do it within 30 seconds.

Reddy then moved on to Mi Smart Band 4. According to him, Xiaomi has shipped 1.5 million Mi Band 3 units in India so far. The Mi Smart Band 4 comes with a 0.95-inch color AMOLED touchscreen display such as 120x240 pixel resolution. It has been claimed to be able to give 20 days of battery life on a single charge. Additionally, the Smart Band packs a six-axis accelerometer that helps it monitor physical activities including cycling, exercise, running, and walking. There is 24x7 heart rate monitoring support, 50 meters water-resistance and music control support.

Reddy then launched the new Mi Motion Activated Night Light 2, a new product that is being launched in India on the company's crowdfunding platform from tomorrow. As the name suggests, the Mi Motion Activated Night Light 2 is on Lights Up Motion and can work at least in Dark Ambient Light. It has two brightness levels and the game has a minimalist design. During the crowdfunding stage, it was just Rs. 500.
