A massive asteroid came closer to the Earth

An asteroid was filled with the size of a house yesterday. It was not enough to do any harm, and thankfully it is the closest space rock that we will see this year. The asteroid was discovered only on Tuesday, which was placed near Tucson by NASA's Catalina Sky Survey, in Arizona, it was nine days before the flight from Earth.

Given the 2019 GC6, the space shuttle was flying from Earth at 2:41 am EDT (0641 GMT) this morning. At its closest, it was about 136,000 miles (219,000 kilometers), or was slightly more than the average distance between the earth and the moon. The rock was traveling at a relative speed of 12,600 miles per hour (20,300 km / h).

Plan of china
Planned China has launched an ambitious Asteroid Exploration Mission and invited its experts to apply their experiments on Thursday under the rules of the Space Agency.

Liu XiZong, head of China's Exploration and Space Engineering Center, said that a 10-year mission will include investigations sent to a near-Earth asteroid to collect samples. After the sample collection from the 2016 A33 asteroid, the probe will return to Earth's orbit where it will be divided into two. A capsule carrying samples will return to the Earth's surface, while a separate module will arrive and the comet will orbiting the 133P.

According to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the diameter of the rock is 49 feet (15 meters) between two "of a factor", which means it can be up to 98 feet (30 meters) wide.

Any object that comes within 8 million kilometers of Earth's orbit and is large enough for significant damage, is classified as "potentially dangerous" object (NEO) of the Earth.

This does not mean that any of these rocks threaten us in the rock. NASA's Planetary Defense Coordination Office is responsible for scanning the sky for potential threats. Despite a massive effort, many asteroids do not stop until the last minute.

Constant monitoring, not enough
Some have not been searched until they have been swept away. Forecasts for the year do not show any major rocks forward to us. But apart from 2019 GC6 another space rock came close to us on March 28. Dade 2019 FC1 was less than halfway away from Earth as an asteroid this morning.

Asteroids create a threat to the Earth, and many researches keep in mind that what to do if one is searched on an impact path.

It is difficult to destroy what we thought
If you have seen the 1998 film Armageddon, you might be right in thinking that NASA will send a rug tag team of oil drillers to blast only asteroids. But recent research shows that it is very harder than before. A study published by Johns Hopkins explores new strategies for asteroid effect and deflection strategies.

"We believed that the larger the object, the easier it would be to break, because the greater the likelihood of a defect in larger objects. However, our conclusions show that the asteroids are stronger than our thinking and to completely disintegrate More energy is needed, "Charles L. Meer, recently a Ph.D. Bachelor of Johns Hopkins University's Mechanical Engineering Department and the first author of the paper.

Difficult to understand the asteroids due to the complexities of space. But researchers have made complex models that propose different ways to complete asteroids destruction.
