Grumpy Cat, Internet Celebrity With a Piercing Look of Contempt, Is Dead at 7 Her Spirit Will Live On, Family Says. 

Grumpy Cat - a blue-eyed cat who has stare and permafrown suggesting constant irritation - has died, her family announced on Friday morning. That was 7. The nervousness kitty died from complications with a urinary tract infection, her owners said.

Grumpy Cat, ubiquitous Internet Celebrity, whose lasting dream spoke for all of us in the darkest moments, died on Tuesday in the arms of their "Mummy", his family said on Friday. She was 7.

The cat, whose real name is Tardar Sauce and came from Arizona, died after complications arising from a urinary tract infection, his family wrote on Twitter.

"Apart from being a nutritionist of our children and family, the Grumpy cat has helped millions of people smile around the world - even though time was difficult," according to the post.

Many cats had mini-festive moments on the internet, but some, if any, had the power of grappie cat and living. Her master rose to prominence for the first time six years ago, after posting a photo to Reddit, gave a caption, "Meet Grumpy Cat."
