Astrologer woman accused of sexually assaulting a TV actor and singer Karan Oberoi has been arrested by the Mumbai Police. On May 25, the woman had lodged an FIR in Oshiwara police station of Mumbai. The woman was accused that when she went to the morning walk, some biksawars attacked her and threatened to take the case back. Not only that, the attackers also threatened to attack acid on women.
When the police investigated this matter, it was discovered that the woman had attacked her herself. Police searched CCTV footage and arrested two people. Later it was found that one of the two arrested persons was the relative of a woman's lawyer. Later, the woman also accepted that she had made a fake attack to strengthen her case against Karan.
What was the case:
On May 6, a woman accused Karan of blackmailing and sexual abuse. He had said that Karan had sexually assaulted her by giving a befitting marriage. According to the woman, in the year 2016, Karan was met by a dating application. After that both of them became good friends. One day Karan called her to meet her flat. Where she promised to marry a woman. After that he exploited and made the video. The woman had alleged that Karan used to show a video of sexual harassment and asked for money.
Karan stayed in prison for a month:
After the allegation of the woman, Karan was arrested on May 6 by the Mumbai Police from his house. On June 7, after staying in jail for a month, the Bombay High Court granted Karan bail. Earlier, his bail plea was rejected by the trial court on May 17 and he was presented in Mumbai's Andheri court where the judge sent him to 14-day judicial custody.
