The beginning of this campaign itself was done by Narendra Modi cleaning the road.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is India's biggest ever cleanliness campaign, which is attended by about 3 million schools and colleges students and government employees. On the launch day, the Prime Minister announced the names of nine celebrities and asked him to increase the cleanliness drive in his area and motivate the general public to join him. He also said that these celebrities have to motivate the next 9 people to join it, and this series will continue until its message is reached to the whole of India.
He also said that every Indian should take it as a challenge and make every effort to make it a successful campaign. The chain of nine people is like a branch of a tree. He requested the general public to join them and said that they should put a clearance picture on social media such as Facebook, Twitter and other websites and inspire other people to join it. In this way India can be a clean country.
Keeping the continuity of this mission, Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has banned the chewing pan, gutka and other tobacco products in Uttar Pradesh to ensure cleanliness in all official government buildings.
Something special
Cleanliness is said to be equal to God, but sanitation for all is still far away. Money is paid for it, but there is tremendous rigging in it, monitoring the plans and coordination among the agencies is also a failure. The sanitation laws have remained on paper only. You go to any major city, in the morning you will see a line of people dealing in the open.
Even where there are public toilets, their condition is very bad. Hardly anyone would dare to go in Even in this case, the problem for women is bigger than men. In December 2006, a committee formed by the Delhi High Court had told that there are 3,192 urinals in Delhi, of which only 132 (four percent) are for women. Like men, women can not handle in the open, but this problem is never noticed.
Delhi Municipal Corporation spends 400 crores on its cleaning staff. Employees get salary of six to eight thousand rupees, but many employees get their jobs cheap from other people. That is, earning them without work.
Some put on fake bargaining without doing any work. Corruption and corruption can be the same in this environment, which is happening. MCD has made public toilets for open defecation in the open and keeping the Yamuna clean and a loan of 166 crores from a Japanese bank for this work. Later, the Japanese bank surveyed 959 toilets, found that 350 were closed.
We are living in the world's second most dirty country and this truth can not be hidden. The reason for this is that dealing apathy has spread to the welfare of the people. Everyone wants their share of government money, even if it is toilet. Towns are found in turbines, rivers, and oceans. Decades ago, the sewerage system was in bad shape. There is no campaign to improve them at the macro level.
The government wants to spend Rs 20,18,709 crore in the Eleventh Five Year Plan and Rs 40,55,235 crore in the Twelfth Plan for infrastructure. Sanitation and hygiene should also be included in this item, because without them no facility can do good to the people. Regrettably, even in education, we have not given sanitation more importance.
Our leaders are so unaware of this issue that in Parliament or in some assembly, there has never been any debate over sanitation. We can make our environment better and it is not necessary to be surrounded by dirt. The government will have to do some work and some of us Why not start our part work and keep your surroundings clean.
