The company will charge Rs 2,500 for the optical network terminal device (router) required for this connection. It is a security deposit that is refundable. To register for GigaFiber, you have to visit https://gigafiber.jio.com/registration. On the first page, you have to give the details of the address where you want the connection of Jio GigaFiber.
After the address details, you have to enter your name, mobile number and email id. After doing this, an OTP will appear on your number. Submit this OTAP. With this, the registration process of Jio GigaFiber will be completed. After this, you will be told through a message that as soon as the introduction of Jio GigaFiber connection is started in your area, a call will be received from Jio's Sales Representative for further processing.
Document required for connection
For the connection of Jio GigaFiber, you have to show address and identity proof. For this, Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License etc. can be used.
Installation process
As soon as the registration process is complete and Jio GigaFiber service arrives in your area, you will get an call from the installation engineer. At your stated time, he will come to your home and install the broadband system. Jio GigaFiber will be activated within 2 hours of installation. The company has stated on its website that initially the company will not take any charge for the installation and it will be completely free.
With the Jio GigaFiber broadband connection, users will also get a landline phone from which they will be able to make unlimited calling. Along with this, Jio has also announced a welcome offer. Under this offer, users who take an annual plan of Jio GigaFiber will get a 4K set-top box free with HD or 4K LED TV.
